Born Jeffery Ogonna Ugwuanyi in the east side of Memphis, his career as a rap artist began in the city of New Orleans while attending Xavier University of Louisiana. With influences from his culture, his city, and notable artist such as Tupac, Jay-Z, and Lil Wayne, Najee began to craft his own path as a rap artist.
